The reign of God signifies a radically different way of relating to one another. Jesus didn’t offer a conceptual definition; he used vivid images like the mustard seed to illustrate the kingdom. This seed, though small and seemingly insignificant, grows into a pervasive force, much like a weed that overtakes a garden. Jesus' teachings on nonviolence and simplicity are revolutionary concepts intended to transform our world. Despite the corruption and oppression of his time, Jesus proclaimed the present reign of God and invited us to live this new reality now. This requires faith—not as mere belief or rules, but as the grace to embody God’s vision of love amidst a world driven by power.
May we embody God's vision of love and grace,
living the reign of God amidst a world driven by power.
