In our practice, we sit alone and in silence, lower our heads, shut our eyes, and gently breathe out. We imagine ourselves looking into our hearts, moving our thoughts from our heads to our hearts. As we breathe out, we focus on a simple phrase. Despite the constant intrusion of other thoughts, we persist. Each distraction becomes a chance to return to God's presence. This stillness is not about perfecting our focus but about allowing God's love to transform us. We find a quiet amazement in the grace unfolding within us, even amid unresolved thoughts and feelings.
May we find grace and transformation in the stillness of our hearts, persistently returning to God's presence amidst life's distractions.
