Aging is happening to all of us, yet somehow it still feels surprising. We adjust our routines, we notice changes in our bodies, and sometimes those changes are hard to accept. There is grief, frustration, and discomfort. The original dance between order and chaos takes over our bodies inside and out—even with lots of yoga. Yet as we pay attention, we might also discover something unexpected—a quiet contentment. We find pleasure in the ordinary, like a morning cup of tea or a familiar view outside our window. Our brains shift from seeking novelty to feeling satisfaction in what’s steady. This is not resignation; it’s an invitation to settle into the life we have now. By staying present with our bodies as they are, we can meet aging with curiosity rather than fear.
May we embrace the dance of order and chaos within us,
trusting that contentment can emerge as we stay present to what is.
