Awakening to Essence
In spirituality, we often begin with the tangible, the visible. We construct frameworks of belief, adorned with symbols and rituals, like building a sturdy stable for an unknown guest. But amidst this construction, we may find ourselves lost in the comparison of stables, forgetting the purpose of our endeavor.
Years pass, and we continue in these familiar patterns, repeating the motions of the first half of life. Yet, beneath the surface, a yearning stirs. A longing for something deeper, something real.
Imagine a fire, fierce and unyielding, burning away the layers we've gathered. This flame, this encounter with the Divine, it's both terrifying and exhilarating. It consumes the falsehoods we've woven around ourselves, revealing the raw truth beneath.
As time unfolds, we come to realize the limitations of our stable. We see that it was never meant to confine us but to prepare us for a sacred birth within. Yet, too often, we are preoccupied with the stability of our structure, missing the moment of divine arrival.
In the heart of this journey, there is a call. A call to shed the constraints of the familiar, to venture into the unknown depths. It's a call to step beyond the rituals and doctrines, into the uncharted territory of the soul.
Here, in the second half of life, we find ourselves at a crossroads. Will we continue in the dance of survival, or will we heed the call to a sacred dance? This is the path of transformation, of awakening to the fullness of our being.
So let us not be content with the surface, with the superficial. Let us embrace the fire within, allowing it to burn away all that is false. For in the depths of this burning, we discover the essence of our true selves.
