God cannot be confined to human constructs. God transcends creeds, denominations, and all the labels that divide us—gender, ethnicity, nationality. These things do not define your true identity in God. You are more than the labels assigned to you by society. We are all God’s children. You are a child of God, made in the image of love, and so is everyone else.
Being a child of God does not negate the reality that our differences exist and matter. But before we can see ourselves as one, we must embrace and honor the uniqueness of each person. God creates every individual with distinct gifts and challenges. If we stay small and "hide our light" under a bushel basket, there is almost no place for God to move in, through, and with us for the sake of the world. To live in this truth is to embody the fullness of our humanity.
Do not hide who you are. There is no place for God to move through you if you stay small. God calls each of us to step into the person we were created to be. God made us to be complex creatures, every one of us, for a reason. This is not about fulfilling rules, but about honoring who you truly are. So be who you are. That’s where your sacredness lies—in the essence of your true self, made to bring love and light to the world.
That is your divine calling.
The divine is calling me from all things, not just peaches and cream
