The journey of spiritual growth unfolds in a pattern echoed in the Bible. Commencing with collective thinking, we progress through individuation, marked by chosenness, failure, and grace. A breakthrough to unitive consciousness emerges for those traversing these stages fully. From Simple Consciousness (Order) to Complex Consciousness (Disorder) and finally Non-Dual Consciousness (Reorder), the transformation is mysterious and unknown to those in the initial Order stage, and daunting to those in the Disorder stage. The biblical tradition, emphasizing faith over love, recognizes that faith, the patience with mystery, guides us through darkness, allowing love to flourish. Faith involves staying connected, not being perfect, but committed to union. In this relational truth, growth, conversation, and infinite understandings find room. The genius of the biblical tradition is the sharing of our person instead of any fighting over ideas.
May we embrace the dance of order and chaos,
trusting the mystery as we journey from
collective thought to unitive consciousness,
hand-in-hand with a love nurtured by faith's patient embrace.
