The greatest gift is gratitude. To give thanks is to give from the core of who we are, holding nothing back. In gratitude, we acknowledge life in its fullness, embracing its gifts and challenges with a deep sense of trust. The greatest gift one can give is thanksgiving. In giving gifts, we give what we can spare, but in giving thanks we give ourselves. To live this way is to make a choice—a radical affirmation of life, grounded in thankfulness for all that is given and all that is required of us.
Gratitude asks us to fully engage with our lives and, in doing so, to give ourselves freely. This means we don’t hoard our gifts, or shy away from our challenges. We are making a choice for gratitude, abundance, and appreciation for Another, which has the power to radically de-center us. Instead, we offer our lives to be shared, understanding that in this breaking open, we find our truest selves. This is not a reward, nor is it meant for the “deserving”—it’s a universal invitation to participate in the flow of life with humility and courage.
Gratitude is active; it involves us in a continuous process of taking, blessing, breaking, and sharing. The sharing of the small self will be the discovery of the True Self in God. In these simple acts, we join in a larger purpose, embracing a life of profound generosity, solidarity, and responsibility. To live this way is to embody love, not as a mere feeling, but as a lifelong commitment to what is good, true, and whole.
Well worth reading....and sharing. Cheers !!
