Inner Reorientation
To truly awaken to a life of depth and meaning, we must let go of the systems that confine us to shallow living. It is not the natural world we leave behind but the false promises of power, wealth, and ego-driven success. Our transformation begins when we turn towards what we once rejected—whether it's the parts of ourselves we fear or the suffering of others that makes us uncomfortable. To pray and actually mean "Thy Kingdom come," we must also be able to say "my kingdoms go."
In embracing what we once fled from, we find new freedom. As we confront the parts of ourselves that we have ignored or judged, we experience a deeper level of healing and transformation. By showing mercy to others, we learn to show it to ourselves. This is the path of inner reorientation. It’s where true joy and freedom are found—not in following the conventions of society, but in living with compassion, humility, and grace. What before was ugly and repulsive now caused him delight and joy, not only spiritually, but also viscerally and physically.
When we embrace the parts of ourselves that are wounded or wild, we open the door to personal and spiritual rebirth. Our old struggles and fears fall away. It’s in this reawakening that we discover the deepest peace, a peace that cannot be shaken by the world around us.
