We grew up in a world deeply connected to the land, where our grandparents earned their living by working directly with nature. This experience taught us the concept of interbeing, a recognition of our interconnectedness with all life. Today, in an urbanized world where nature is often neglected, we find renewal by returning to the earth. To live in communion with the earth fully acknowledging nature’s power with humility and grace is a practice of spiritual mindfulness that heals and restores. By caring for the land, the water, and all living things, we acknowledge our shared responsibility to protect and honor the environment. This practice of interbeing not only restores us but also helps us create spaces where we can reconnect with our true selves. Standing on solid ground, we bear witness to the sacredness of life, fostering compassion and care for all.
May we live in communion with the earth,
recognizing our interbeing,
and be restored by the sacredness of life.
