We are in a time where we must recognize our power and responsibility. Just as our ancestors used dance as a tool of survival and defiance, we are called to move with purpose in the face of oppression and suffering. The idea that God is not controlling everything for us, but is instead waiting for us to act, changes how we see ourselves in the world. What if God is not manipulating all the things, but yearns for our partnership? God is not distant or passive. We must be active partners in shaping the world we want to live in. We must step into the dance with God, knowing that we have the power to create change, and that God will move with us, supporting our efforts for justice, liberation, and flourishing.
May we step into the dance with God,
embracing our shared power to shape
a just and flourishing world.
