We hold each other amidst trembling knees, tight chests, worlds ablaze. Running from rage, we discovered its power. Rage spoke against white supremacy within and without, shattering illusions. Black bodies navigate injustice daily—inequality, exploitation. It's our outcry for love, declaring our worth to God. Black rage, a spiritual virtue, protests unloving worlds, ignites universal love. Yet, rage unchecked leads to loneliness. Channeled through love, it becomes a sword against soul wounds, a shield of liberation. Love and rage dance, our greatest task: healing, liberating. Jesus loves all bodies, healing without harm. In brokenness, we learn love's power, Jesus's message of liberation for despised bodies.
May we hold each other amidst the storms,
wielding love as our sword and shield,
embracing the dance of love and rage
in our quest for healing and liberation.
