Our souls are made for communion with the Divine. We often resist this truth, convincing ourselves that worldly pursuits matter more. Yet, no career, achievement, or possession satisfies the deep hunger within us. We were created for union with God, and until we embrace this longing, we will feel incomplete. The impetus of one’s entire being never rests until it rests in God. Society may call our quest impractical, but we know otherwise. The search for God is not a distraction from life; it is life’s true purpose. When we honor this longing, we discover peace, clarity, and direction. Let us no longer apologize for our desire to live from the heart of God. Instead, let us trust the pull toward the Infinite and follow it without hesitation. In this, we find our home.
May our hearts find true rest in God,
where the longing of our entire being is fulfilled.
(inspired by Beverly Lanzetta, Path of the Heart)
