We recognize the deep wounds caused by Christian colonialism. Yet, we also understand that the reign of God presents a different vision. Jesus teaches us that love is the daily measure of right relationship. If a society fosters connection between people, creation, and God, it embodies God's reign. This reign isn't free of pain or mystery but is a world where we live in communion with all things. God's reign means living with mercy, forgiveness, nonviolence, and simplicity. In this community, the roots of rivalry and greed are gone. Jesus showed us this way of life and called us to follow. To be God's children, we must choose this path, turning from conventional ways to embrace a life of true freedom and possibility.
May we live in love and communion,
embodying God's reign through mercy,
forgiveness, and nonviolence.
