Love in Action
Faith calls us to action. When we open ourselves to the truth of the suffering, hunger, and hope around us, we’re reminded that compassion cannot be selective. It cannot be just a feeling; it demands we move forward with care that embraces all. Through deep, consistent reflection, our eyes are opened to the unseen, and our hearts are broken open to truly belong to one another. In this space, faith and public life cannot be separate; they are a continuous call to heal, to witness, and to work for a world that reflects the love we profess.
Faith without action isn’t faith—it’s a half-measure. When we lobby or speak with those in power, we do so not only for the people we champion but also for those we seek to change. True transformation begins when we stop seeing others as “them” and instead as part of the “us” we claim. This approach costs us; it requires leaving the comfort of “rightness” for the vulnerability of love.
May we continue to draw strength from the Spirit, allowing ourselves to break down barriers, heal divisions, and carry a Gospel that’s alive, radical, and inclusive. Let our love in action be a path to a more just, compassionate, and truly unified world.
