We seek to love fully, heart, soul, mind, and strength. How do we gather all parts of ourselves to love like this? Jesus' words take a lifetime to comprehend. Then He says, "Love your neighbor as yourself." Do we truly love others as we love ourselves? We often fall short. Self-love is essential; without it, how can we love our neighbor? Loving ourselves is just the start. If we obeyed this commandment, the world would change profoundly. What do we want from others? That's our guide. Love is the measure. Did we love? This lifelong task is our true purpose.
May we strive each day to love fully, embracing ourselves and others with the boundless love that transforms the world.
