Mysticism is not about secrets or exclusive knowledge. It is about seeing what has always been present but often overlooked. It is not reserved for a select few; it is available to anyone willing to look beyond the surface. True mystics do not escape reality—they engage it more deeply. They recognize the inherent connection of all things and see grace where others see only division. The mystics know and enjoy the connected core of reality that is hidden to those who neither desire it nor search for it. This awareness is not the result of intellectual effort but a way of being that emerges from surrender and openness. Joy is a hallmark of mysticism, not as fleeting emotion but as a natural response to seeing reality clearly. If we seek truth with sincerity, we will find that it has been seeking us all along.
May we seek the connected core of reality with open hearts,
that we may know the grace and joy already present.
