New Life and Possibility

We recognize that our understanding of the world has evolved over time. Ancient writers viewed the universe from their perspective, with Earth at the center and the heavens above, which made sense given their limited knowledge. Today, science reveals a vastly different picture of a universe still in process. As we grow in awareness, it becomes clear that the Creator is not a distant ruler but an ongoing presence, empowering creation from within. God creates the world by empowering the world to make itself. God enables the natural world to unfold through its own processes, calling forth new life and possibility. This dynamic relationship affirms our place in a living, evolving universe where God’s presence sustains and guides all things. Faith invites us to trust in this creative partnership.
