We are facing a critical moment in our spiritual lives and in this nation. We talk about our beliefs, but are we truly ready to live them out? It’s time to act on the values we claim to hold: honesty, compassion, love beyond our comfort zones. We cannot remain silent or passive while deceit and self-interest drive our society. Our beliefs call us to go beyond loving just those who think like us; we are called to love even those we see as opponents. Every one of us has the power to shape our world with small, meaningful acts of kindness and integrity. Together, let’s decide to embody these beliefs fully, not just in words, but in every action.
Go forth with courage, living out the values we proclaim,
that our actions may speak of love, integrity,
and a commitment to transform our world.
(inspired by Richard Rohr, There Is No Such Thing as Being Nonpolitical)
