Human beings are not created out of necessity but out of love. Value does not come from status, strength, or wealth. Each person represents God—not just a select few. God exists in relationship, and human life mirrors that design. No one becomes fully human in isolation. The divine image is present in everyone, especially those the world overlooks. A holy life is not about separation or superiority but about love, dignity, and shared presence. Prayer is not performance; it is breath, rhythm, and attention. Desmond Tutu lived this clarity—daily, humbly, and without pretense. The purpose is not to impress but to embody compassion. The task is to help one another remember who they are and bring each other out of exile.
May love guide every step,
and may each person you meet
remind you that no one is
outside the dignity of God.
(inspired by Michael Battle, A Holy Exile)
