Remain in Love
To live a life of true spiritual depth, we must understand that what we seek is not separate from us. What you seek is what you are. The divine is not some distant figure to be discovered outside ourselves. Rather, it resides within us, waiting for recognition. God cannot be found "out there" until God is first found "in here," within ourselves. The search for meaning, for God, and for our true selves is one and the same. When we come to know this, we can finally perceive the sacred in all that surrounds us. This is a profound truth that transforms everything.
Our inner world shapes how we see the outer world. Fear, constriction, and resentment are seen by spiritual teachers to be inherent obstructions that must be overcome. Only when we cultivate love, peace, and beauty within can we see these qualities reflected in the world around us. The spiritual journey is not about being right or perfect; it's about being loving. There is no secret moral command for knowing or pleasing God, or what some call "salvation," beyond becoming a loving person in mind, heart, body, and soul. In this love, we encounter the divine both within and beyond ourselves.
The task, then, is simple: remain in love. Allow love to guide you in every thought, every action. In doing so, you will see the beauty of creation, the goodness of others, and the presence of the divine in all things. It is not a distant goal, but a reality to embrace now.
