Our engagement in politics often starts with external ideas and ideologies. We try to fit our faith around them, framing our beliefs to match our political views. But what if we reversed that? What if we began with an inward journey, grounding ourselves in the truth of God’s love? This changes everything. It means our participation in the world isn’t limited by political divides or agendas; instead, it’s defined by the truth of God’s redeeming love. In Jesus, we see how this looks in action—loving enemies, rejecting hypocrisy, standing with the marginalized. But the person of faith, whose inward journey opens their life to the explosive love of God, knows that this vision is the most real of all. From this starting point, we act not out of what’s practical or popular but from a vision rooted in God’s justice and love.
May we go forth, grounded in the explosive love of God,
guided by a vision more real than any human divide.
