Forgiveness is essential for our spiritual growth and freedom. When we forgive, we choose to see the goodness in others, experience God’s grace within ourselves, and recognize our own capacity for goodness. This act of letting go is crucial if we are to move beyond a world driven by merit, punishment, and retribution. The only way out of the present justified hatreds of the world is grace. By embracing forgiveness, we reject the idea that love and grace must be earned. Instead, we accept that they are freely given, and it is this acceptance that transforms us. The Risen Christ shows us that forgiveness isn’t about erasing mistakes but using them to create a future rooted in redemption. In practicing forgiveness, we participate in this divine love, making us resilient and capable of true freedom.
May we embrace the grace that overcomes hatred,
living in the freedom of forgiveness.
