Grace is not something God gives; grace is who God is. This understanding changes how we see ourselves and the world. We are not separated from God's presence, nor do we need to earn it. Grace is the steady, unearned flow of life itself, holding everything together. When we forget this, we risk seeing God as distant or punishing. Yet grace continues, whether we notice it or not. Each moment offers us the chance to recognize this gift. Our role is to remain open, willing to receive what is already given. As we learn to trust this presence, we find that grace builds upon itself, deepening our awareness and drawing us further into the fullness of life.
May we walk in trust,
open to the endless flow of grace
that sustains and renews all things.
(inspired by Richard Rohr, A Spring Within Us)
