We recognize that creation itself is the first revelation of the divine. Nature, in its vast complexity and beauty, reveals truths that existed long before any written words. We sometimes forget this, as words give us something to argue about, while nature simply invites us to experience and respect it. Don’t dare put the second Bible in the hands of people who have not sat lovingly at the feet of the first Bible. The biblical creation story isn’t meant to be a literal account but instead shows us the deep, meaningful origins of life. It teaches us to look beyond words for divine truth. Our world is interconnected, and autonomy is an illusion. We are reminded to seek wholeness in both the natural world and ourselves, allowing us to experience divinity more fully.
May we honor the divine revealed in creation,
seeking wholeness in nature and truth beyond words.
