The gift of tears can visit us when we feel most alone, forgotten, or overwhelmed. It is not something we can control or produce, yet it can be welcomed. This gift softens the heart and reveals a deeper awareness of ourselves and the world. The gift of tears frees and is a sign of being freed both from control and from the fear from which control springs. When we accept the gift of tears, we step away from fear and the need for control. We surrender to a greater presence that frees us from our own grasp. Tears can feel unsettling, yet they are a path toward release and healing. In those moments, we are invited to trust what is unfolding within us—a call to live with openness and vulnerability, knowing that love is what holds us steady.
May we welcome the gift of tears,
trusting it to free us from fear and the need for control.
