We find ourselves grappling with the paradox of God’s grace and our efforts. We must acknowledge that our human desires and actions are insignificant compared to the mercy of God. As we reflect on Step 6, we understand that we must recognize our resistances and blockages, but also accept that only God can remove our defects of character. The challenge is balancing surrender and responsibility. We must get out of the way to let grace operate fully. This means surrendering to God while also taking responsibility for our actions. We must pray as if it all depends on us and work as if it all depends on God. This dual approach allows us to grow spiritually and embrace God's transformative grace.
May we embrace the paradox of surrender and responsibility,
allowing God's grace to transform us as we pray
and work in harmony with His mercy.
