We do not need to prove ourselves. We do not need to ascend some imagined spiritual ladder. The way is not up—it is down. When we stop clinging to control, when we release the illusion of superiority or separateness, we become more honest and available. There is clarity and strength in surrender, not weakness. We can trust the movement of letting go—not as defeat, but as alignment with reality. Trust the down, and God will take care of the up. The path of descent allows us to be fully human, without shame, without pretense. We do not have to strive for transcendence; we are invited to live the truth of our condition. This truth is not escape, but embodiment. In this downward movement, we find what truly matters: freedom, integrity, and connection.
May we trust the downward path of surrender,
knowing the rest is held by something greater than ourselves.
