We are called to live with unwavering commitment to the path of wisdom and compassion. The call to poverty is foundational, not just as a personal practice, but as the key to all virtues. This path requires us to embrace humility and live with fewer attachments, trusting that the deeper truth of life is already ours. We must engage in both contemplation and action, seeking justice and caring for those in need. The way of love is difficult, often leading to rejection and hardship, but it also brings freedom. The Way of Love can be harrowing. It is not a path of convenience. In the face of adversity, we find strength, knowing that the pursuit of righteousness and compassion will transform both us and the world around us.
May we walk the harrowing way of love with unwavering courage,
knowing it leads to transformation and freedom.
