We have all been wronged in some way, and it’s tempting to bury that pain. But when we ignore or suppress it, the pain only grows and finds its way out in harmful ways. Pain that isn’t processed is passed on. Pain that isn’t transformed is transmitted. We need to face it. By bringing our pain to God, we begin to release its hold on us. This means naming our hurt honestly—betrayal, rejection, or disrespect—and asking God for the healing we truly need. We don't wait for others to fix things or make amends. Instead, we ask God for comfort, reassurance, and healing. In doing this, we stop carrying the burden alone and trust in God’s grace to transform our pain, instead of passing it on.
May God’s grace transform our pain so that we no longer carry it, nor pass it on.
